...to the West Denmark Family Camp 2010. This year’s camp begins Wednesday, June 30, and continues through Saturday, July 3. In the tradition of Danish folk schools, you will have the chance to listen to and interact with engaging speakers, folk dance, sing, make crafts, share talents, drink coffee, meet new friends and visit old friends, eat good food, drink more coffee, and relax in the beautiful, peaceful setting of the West Denmark Lutheran Church.
For us, “Family” describes the community we create. The participation of all generations, from infants to our elders, of varying backgrounds and with diverse insights, enriches the experience. We doggedly hold on to the notion that we make
our own fun and learn from each other. All are welcome to join us!
On Wednesday, June 30, you are invited to the Grumstrup House, 2497 170th St., for an Æbleskiver potluck brunch to be followed by the tasks of setting up for camp at the hall.
RSVP to Judy at jgscott19@gmail.com or phone 530-400-1029 to say what brunch dish or drink or salad or whatever you want to bring. Æbleskiver, coffee, and tea provided.
Wednesday evening, a potluck supper begins at 5:00, followed by orientation and music. Bring a dish to pass. Hamburgers, hotdogs and brats will be provided donations will be accepted to cover costs.

Does anyone actually camp at Family Camp?
No, we don't have the facilities for that, but it is a camp atmosphere. Most everyone attending Family Camp stays with friends, relatives, or at the Luck motel or campground.
Do you need to be a family to attend Family Camp?
The name Family Camp is just a name for the camp. The "Family" in Family Camp can be thought of as the "family" that is formed from the people who attend camp. Everyone of all ages is welcome whether they come alone or in a group.
