Leadership

Linda Rozumalski was ordained to the ministry of Word and Sacrament at West Denmark and installed as pastor in February 2007 joining her husband, Mike Rozumalski, in shared ministry. Mike resigned his call in 2011 after serving this congregation since 2000. He now enjoys life in retirement.

Pastor Linda is a graduate of Luther Seminary in St Paul. She has many interests – which is why she often can be found writing into the wee hours of the night. Preaching the depth and breadth of a lived and rich theology, and practicing a life of rural ministry in this small, thriving faith community are primary interests. Honey bees, gardens, pets, weaving, reading, and Masterpiece Mysteries are favorite distractions, cooking and housework less favored. She and Mike have three children – mostly grown, often gone, still a distraction and prime vocation.

Pastor Linda’s previous work experience was as a Registered Occupational Therapist in Wisconsin, Minnesota and the U.P. of Michigan.

Christine Johansen serves West Denmark as worship pianist, and accompanies the church choir. She is involved in many areas of church life – notably as the author of many of our skits and contributor to Christmas programs.

Christine moved to Luck and joined the church in 2007 after retiring from teaching piano performance, class piano, and courses in music fundamentals for classroom teachers at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.

Chris is married to Harry and they have two grown sons. Outside of church she is accompanist for the Woodland Chorale and enjoys involvement in area community theater productions.

Harry Johansen volunteers his considerable skills as conductor of the present West Denmark Church Choir, founded in 2007, and as worship cantor.  He is also the conductor of the Woodland Chorale, an area community choir he organized in 2011.

Prior to moving back to his childhood stomping grounds, Harry was Professor of Music and Chair of the Department of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  He was the Director of Choral Activities and conductor of the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Women’s Chorale, and opera productions, and taught courses in conducting and choral literature.  Harry and Christine enjoy biking, gardening and time with their family.
